Registration closes for this season 

SCFBIO, IIT Delhi intends to start it's 10th season of certificate based training/workshop Programmes in Bioinformatics and Computational  SCFBIO, IIT Delhi intends to start it's 10th season of certificate based training/workshop Programmes in Bioinformatics and Computational  Biology from 28th May, 2019. The training Programme will be divided into three batches inititially with 7 days allocated for each batch including Sundays.There is a possibility of a fourth bacth also in the early part of July, 2019.

Interested candidated can send mail to training2019@scfbio-iitd.res.in with a mention of their preferred batch inorder to plan logistics in advance. The online registration link has already been enabled. There is no selection criteria and confirmation of participation is purely based on first come first served basis.Once you will apply online after paying the fees, you will get a mail containing the registration number and that can be quoted for further reference.

1) Topics for the training/Workshop Programme are proposed to be covered –with hands–on training/Workshop in the   following four modules:

  1. Genome analysis (First and Second day of each batch)
  2. Protein Folding ( Third and Fourth day of each batch)
  3. Drug Design (Fifth and Sixth day of each batch)
  4. High performance computing in Bioinformatics.(Last day of each batch)

2) Duration of Training/Workshop:-

     The training/Workshop programme for each module is proposed to be conducted for two days (approx) and the entire set of modules  mentioned above will be completed in 7 days time(from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm everyday).

      Following are the tentative schedule for the batches

  • 1st  batch: 28th May, 2019 to 3rd June, 2019
  • 2nd batch: 5th  June, 2019 to 11th June, 2019
  • 3rd batch: 14th June, 2019 to 20th June, 2019
3) Eligibility :- 
      B.Sc/B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech./Ph.D Students/Faculties and Professionals from Industries.

4) Maximum no of students :- 25 per batch. 

5) Fee :- Rs 7000/-(which includes 18% GST) for entire Seven day course. 
6) You can either make a Demand Draft in the favour of FITT, IIT Delhi payable at New Delhi or make an online payment using the following details.

7)Important Announcement regarding Accommodation
  • Those who are coming from outside delhi and have already chosen the option for need of accommodation will be provided the same on payment basis. The accommodation will be on sharing basis with two participants will stay in each room.
  • The charges will be approx. Rs. 450 per day (including breakfast and dinner) and charges can be paid during the programme to the authorities here.
  • Snacks (Morning and Evening) and Lunch will be provided to all the participants at the training site.
