Due to delay in adminstrative clearances,training programme is on hold till end of November, 2020. 

SCFBio, IIT Delhi intends to start its 11th season of certificate based training/workshop Programmes in Bioinformatics and Computational  Biology from 17th October, 2020. The training Programme will be initially divided into 3 batches with 7 days allocated for each batch including Sundays.There is a possibility of two more batches after 15th Nov but that is tentative at the moment.

Interested candidates can send a mail to training2020@scfbio-iitd.res.in and cc to training.scfbio@gmail.com with a mention of your interest and preferred batch in order to plan logistics in advance. There is no selection criteria, and confirmation of participation is purely based on first come first served basis.Once you apply online after paying the fees, you will get a mail containing the registration number and confirmation which can be quoted for future reference.

This year due to COVID19 pandemic, we are conducting the training programme in a virtual mode (using a user friendly and convenient APP) but definitely it's going to be live sessions for both lectures as well as for hands-on practices.

1) Topics for the training/Workshop Programme are proposed to be covered –with hands–on training/Workshop in the   following four modules:

  1. Genome analysis (First and Second day of each batch)
  2. Protein Folding ( Third and Fourth day of each batch)
  3. Drug Design (Fifth and Sixth day of each batch)
  4. High performance computing in Bioinformatics.(Last day of each batch)

2) Duration of Training/Workshop:-

     The training/Workshop programme for each module is proposed to be conducted for two days (approx) and the entire set of modules  mentioned above will be completed in 7 days time(from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm everyday).

      Following are the tentative schedule for the batches

  • 1st  batch: 17th Oct, 2020 to 23rd Oct, 2020
  • 2nd batch: 27th  Oct, 2020 to 2nd Nov, 2020
  • 3rd batch: 5th Nov, 2020 to 11th Nov, 2020
3) Eligibility :- 
      B.Sc/B.Tech./B. Pharma/M.Sc./M.Tech./M. Pharma/Ph.D Students/Faculty and Professionals from Industries. Aspirants from any other stream or courses not falling under the above criterion can also send their enquiries if they want to be a part of it.

4) Maximum number of participants :- 50 per batch. 

5) Fee :- Rs 5000/-(inclusive of 18% GST if applicable) for entire seven day course. Fee details will be notified soon.
